Civil Defence Grouping K/C

Civil Defence Grouping K/C

Several items that came together, I would think all to one man. A printed Civil Defence Bomb Reconnaissance brassard, printed Civil Defence brassard, woven cloth Warden shoulder title, woven cloth CD breast badge and a 1939 whistle with correct yellow lanyard and maker's name J Hudson & Co. of Birmingham. Bomb brassard is a scarce item worn by CD officers who had passed bomb reconnaissance courses. Their task was to identify and confirm reports of UXBs before assigning the task to RE Bomb Disposal teams
